Ramie, similar to linen, is well known for its exceptional absorbency and ability to hold shape, wrinkle resistance. The plant belongs to nettle family, and is native to eastern Asia. American consumers are not familiar with this natural fiber. But it is very similar to linen, a well known fabric.

We have tried really hard to search for a linen fabric with distinct or unique print last year, 2017. The search was fruitless. Luckily this ramie fabric with a distinct tribal print was found among the last batch of swatches our supplier sent to us. The color ways of light blue, red and white combination bring freshness to tribal prints which are often of bright colors. It is our first time ever to try ramie fabric. After we crafted the sample scarf, we wore for a couple of weeks and considered it is reasonably comfortable for sensitive neck skin. However, you expect the characteristic granular feel (same as linen) from the fabric. By any chance, you are very critical for the softness of scarf, then this scarf is NOT for you.
